Please read carefully before using the App.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Devanshu Studios ("we", "us") governing access to and use of the PyMaster mobile application and related services (the "App"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are under 13, you may only use the App with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to make any in-app purchases. You represent that all information you provide is accurate.

2. The service (educational product)

PyMaster provides interactive Python learning content: lessons, quizzes, coding exercises, projects, interview practice, certificates, and optional paid features ("Career Mode" / Pro). Content, features, availability, free tiers, and pricing may change. We may add, modify, or discontinue features (including experimental or AI-assisted hints) at any time.

No professional guarantees. The App is for education and practice only. We do not guarantee job placement, interview success, exam results, specific skill levels, career outcomes, or that certificates will be recognized by any employer, school, or third party. Certificates indicate completion of in-app curriculum milestones only.

3. Free path vs Pro / Career Mode

Free Foundations — typically early curriculum zones (e.g. introductory zones), free retries on that path, and free Foundations badge sharing as offered in the App.
Pro / Career Mode — may unlock advanced curriculum, portfolio projects, higher interview tiers, Mastery certificate export, ad-free experience, and other benefits listed at purchase time.

Exact entitlements are those shown in the App and store listing at the time of purchase. Marketing claims are limited to features we actually ship. AI hints are not a guaranteed Pro benefit and may be limited or removed.

4. Accounts

You may use the App with local progress and/or optional sign-in (e.g. Google). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure. Notify us of unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk (fraud, abuse, cheating that harms others, etc.).

5. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Paid features are offered as auto-renewing subscriptions and/or other IAPs via Google Play.
Price, period (monthly/yearly), and free trial (if any) are shown on the purchase screen / Play store.
Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (or as required by Play policy / local law).
Manage or cancel anytime: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy and applicable law. We do not control Play's refund decisions.
If you restore purchases, entitlement depends on Play/billing partner validation.

Taxes may apply. Prices may change for future periods; you will be charged the then-current price upon renewal as disclosed by Google Play.

6. License to use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for personal, non-commercial learning on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Google Play's terms. You may not:

Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the App (except as allowed by law)
Rent, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its content without permission
Bypass paywalls, license checks, or security features
Scrape content at scale, abuse APIs, or overload our infrastructure
Use the App for unlawful purposes or to distribute malware
Misrepresent certificates or claim false completion
Attempt to circumvent, hack, or exploit the App's systems, economy (XP, coins, hearts), or accounts
Use automated bots, scripts, or tools to interact with the App
Impersonate any person, entity, or Devanshu Studios

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of your access without refund.

7. User content

You retain rights to code and notes you create. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the App (e.g. save progress, evaluate exercises). The App allows you to set a display Codename (nickname). You confirm your codename does not infringe third-party rights, constitute hate speech, or contain personal information you do not wish to share. We reserve the right to remove or modify any content that violates these standards.

8. Intellectual property

The App, curriculum, branding, UI, audio, and all related materials — including but not limited to lesson text, quiz questions, code challenges, graphics, animations, sounds, and icons — are owned by Devanshu Studios or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide to us regarding the App may be used by us without any obligation or compensation to you.

9. Ads and third-party services

Free tiers may include advertisements. The App uses third-party services (e.g. Google Firebase, AdMob, Play Billing, RevenueCat, sign-in providers). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their processing. We are not responsible for the actions, data practices, or content of any third-party service.

10. AI features — disclaimer & limitations

The AI Hints feature is powered by Google's Gemini large language models. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or factually incorrect ("hallucinations"). They do not constitute professional programming, educational, or career advice and should be used as a supplementary learning aid only. Devanshu Studios expressly disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, or consequence arising from reliance on AI-generated content, including but not limited to: incorrect code suggestions, wrong explanations, failed interviews, or academic consequences.

"Unlimited" AI access for Pro users is subject to a Fair Use Policy: personal, non-automated, educational use. We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, or terminate AI access for accounts showing automated, excessive, or abusive usage patterns. We may modify, limit, switch AI providers, or discontinue AI features at any time without notice. No refund or compensation will be provided based on changes to, or unavailability of, AI features.

11. Acceptable use & code execution

In-app code runners / sandboxes are for learning. Do not attempt to exploit the runtime, attack systems, or run harmful code. Exercise environments may be limited and are provided "as is". Results may differ from other Python environments.

12. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that content is complete or up to date with every Python version or industry practice. Devanshu Studios does not warrant that the App will help you learn programming, pass any exam, or obtain employment.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DEVANSHU STUDIOS AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF LEARNING PROGRESS, OR LOST OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR INR 1,000, WHICHEVER IS GREATER). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including internet outages, third-party service failures, government regulations, or natural disasters.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Devanshu Studios and its operators against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights — to the extent permitted by applicable law.

15. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

16. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time (uninstall / cancel subscription via Play). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the App. Upon termination, your licence to use the App ceases immediately; active subscriptions are not automatically refunded; local data remains on your device until you uninstall. Provisions that by nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) survive termination.

17. Changes to the App or Terms

We may update these Terms. The effective date / version will change. Material updates may be notified in-app or on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App and cancel any subscription.

18. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence apply and cannot be waived. Courts in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable rights you have as a consumer in your place of residence. 19. Google Play store terms

If you downloaded the App from Google Play, you also agree to Google Play's applicable terms. Google is not responsible for the App's content or support except as required by platform rules. In-app purchases are processed by Google.
